Congratulations to the Middle School Winter Guard on their 1st Place Win Saturday, March 27th at Willard HS. 15 students have worked very hard through the months of December to March to perfect their skills and talents. Each of the students deserves a round of applause for each of their hardwork and dedication this season. This is the 5th year in a row the middle school has won the Middle School Class at MCCGA Championships!

Only 3 shows LEFT!! These students have worked so very hard this season and their work has paid off for them. They perform again this Saturday, the 6th, at Smithville HS @ 1:45 PM. Cost is $6 for admission, also the High School will be performing at this show @ 4:19 PM.
This years show is entitled "Perfect Day" with music by Hoku. The guard members spin to an upbeat song full of color and fun, which the story of a day shopping with their friends can be told by the huge smiles the performers show. There are 16 performing members, 8 Eighth Graders & 8 Seventh Graders with an average age of 13.5. The unit is directed by Brian Penny with asstance from Liz Wohletz, Rachelle Geddes, Kim Kras & Amanda Moore*
*Amanda Moore is a Senior on the High School Winter Guard, completing her requirements for her Senior Project, which is to help train younger members of the Odessa Guard Program to be successful when they reach the High School level. Amanda has served well in the Rifle Technican role for the rifles this year.
Can't make the trip this weekend??? On March 13th, All THREE Odessa Winter Performance Groups will be performing at Truman HS in Independence MO!! Winter Percussion is @ 12:32 PM, Middle School @ 2:00 PM & High School @ 4:12 PM.
The Middle School guard will be performing at a school pep assembly to show their peers what they have done as a team this season! Also the group will perform at MCCGA Championship on March 27th at Willard High School in the Springfield, MO area. Also the guard will have a final performance at the WGI Send-off Show open to the public in the beginning of April.
