What’s Happening in Band of Distinction World?

281871_10203793591216776_5645883451053311486_n.jpgWelcome to the 2014-15 school year! Summer marching band camp has finished up and we’re headed for a busy fall season! You may notice some changes here on the website. Please bear with us during the transition to a more responsive, easier to update website! If you’re a picture-taking parent – please read the information on the Photos tab – so that YOU can start contributing your awesome photos to the new and improved Photo Gallery.

The uniform moms could use some help on Thursday nights getting our uniforms ready for competition season. If you can man a sewing machine (and bring one along!) you are definitely needed! But even if you can’t sew – we need your nimble fingers for pinning, hemming by hand, measuring, cutting, etc. If you’re not into those types of tasks – we have room for you in prop-prep! There’s plenty of painting, hammering, sticking, maneuvering, and all kinds of other jobs for Prop-Master Geddes to put you to work on.

The Band of Distinction needs all of you to help achieve our goals each year! Mark the monthly Booster Meetings (2nd Monday of each month at 6:30) on your calendar and plan to attend. In most cases it’s an hour or less, and it’s vital to our program. You’ll love being involved!
