Fund Raising: We still have trash bags. Anyone wanting them can call Carrie Moore to get additional bags. Cost is $10 per roll and goes to the student’s individual account. We’ll check into the price of 6 ml bags for industrial use. Third day of school will be a kickoff of magazine fundraiser where band will get 40% of the renewal. Estimation of 100 kids with 2-3 subscriptions each would result in approximately $6,000.

Trailer update: Trailer is available now for a couple of months. It will be under repair for two weeks for the axles.

Summer practice: first summer attendance had three sections with 100% attendance. This should help prepare the group in many ways for . Additional summer practices are June 15, June 22, July 13, July 10-14 (drum line), July 20, and July 27.

Prop meeting this Wednesday night (June 14). Building six platform props with ramps. Could be 8-10 kids on the platforms at any time. Discussion of where the money will come from for these props. Some of the building material can come from school funds, but will be considerable needs for additional funds. Band Boosters are willing to participate in the cost as much as possible. Will first try to get an approximate cost on the construction of the props.

Transportation meeting will be June 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Band Boosters will pay to have all the uniforms cleaned this summer.

Director’s Dialogue: Boosters typically pay for the drum majors to go to camp. Cost is $400 per drum major (we have three). Motion made and seconded. Motion carried.

Summer School Band will march in Higginsville parade this Saturday. Approximately 15 people will participate.

Meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Connie Andrews
