2005 Meet the Band of Distinction!

Thursday, September 1st, the Odessa Band of Distinction had their first ever "Meet the Band Night". Members were introduced by sections, and then performed two of their three songs from this years Marching Show entitled Chase for Excellence. After the performance parents and friends were invited onto the field for a lesson on how to be a member of the marching band. After a quick demonstration, they performed a short piece.

• Karmen and Mom: Karmen gives instructions to her mother on how to play the flute and march.

• Jake and Jill: Jill T. and Jacob P. reach their horns to the crowd as they perform the first part of their show.
• Hannah and Lynette: Lynette finds out how much fun being a guard member is from her daughter Hannah at the first annual "Meet the Band Night"
• Watson on Trumpet: Bruce Watson tries to take his son's place on the field to see what it is like to march with the Band of Distinction.
